The Fire Red Air Jordan has been long overdue for a proper return to retail. With recent returns of the white/cement, true blue and black/cement, it seemed the Fire Reds would surely be in line for a retro.
As this should be good news for many sneaker enthusiasts Jordan Brand has somehow managed to turn this into their latest WTF moment.
For some inexplicable reason, someone, or a group of someone’s at Jordan Brand thought that it would be a fabulous idea for the heel tabs to be translucent. They will have the “NIKE AIR” branding but the good folks at Jordan Brand doubled down on the mystifying moves by also incorporating the Jumpman into the aforementioned heel tabs.
Outside of the tabs, the sneaker is predicted to resemble the original aesthetic with a white upper, with dark elephant print overlays at the toe and wrapping the heel along with fire red accents atop a white and fire red midsole.
The “Fire Red”’Air Jordan 3 SE is scheduled to release August 1. SneakerBarDetroit reports there will be two versions of the shoe, a la 2019’s “Red Cement” Air Jordan 3.
